The shape of eyebrows is the most crucial part of the overall facial expression. Overly heavy eyebrows can make the eyes appear tired and sad; and overly thick eyebrows can bestow a gloomy look on the face. The ideal eyebrow opens outwards and upwards.

Particularly mature women tend to have sparse eyebrows. To make the eyebrows more becoming, brush a pale-coloured brow powder onto the eyebrows in the direction of the hair growth using a small, slant-edged brush. You must never pencil in dark, thick lines on the eyebrows. This is totally out-of-date, and completely disfigures the face.
