Eyeliner, eye shadow and mascara are supposed to accentuate the eye area and should, by no means, be applied superfluously. Contours should be well toned down, especially for day-time make-up. The eyes must not be "overshadowed" by eye shadow!

When a customer asks your advise for the first time in regard to the wearing of eye make-up on a regular basis, only gradually introduce her to colours. It is much better to recommend matt, natural or earth-toned shades rather than strong, vivid shades. Colourful accents can always be added later using a highlighter.
